I am going to be backing up all my writing on my site on dreamwidth. I've a lot of writing so it will probably take me some time (I don't want to do more that 2-3 pages a day to prevent spamming).

I'll also be posting any NSFW writing on Dreamwidh alone since I don't want to label my site NSFW and apparently writing does count (according to some other people). So DW it is, although I will be linking those posts directly onto Neocities. I'll wait until after everything is backed up, and of course properly label these links as NSFW on both neocities and Dreamwidth but having a backup will be nice, just in case My site isn't currently labeled in any way (although my profile is followable) so no one will find it (outside of direct links and bookmarks) so I'm not worried now but if I do decide to make my site more findable it could be an issue.

I'm baack... With that said I do not plan on following/liking/reblogging anyone or posting anything, cause what can I say I hate that site. Sadly, too many people don't allow their blogs to be seen unless one is logged in (only mildly annoying but understandable) and the fucking log in wall tumblr itself uses (hate, despise, loathe) means going on the site is a royal pain in the ass. I am using my main user name and pfp (unlike reddit) but I may change that latter.

Ostara Thoughts

I love Ostaria, possibly my favorite holiday from the neo-pagan wheel of the year. There really isn't an equivalent for my people since we really don't have seasons (well we do but they're more like the wet/dry seasons you see in tropical climates and even then they're pretty subtle) But back when I lived in Oklahoma I loved seeing everything flower after the brown boringness of winter. On the other hand tornado season was always a stressful time.

Where I live now: winter is actually pretty green since our summers are very dry. Due to this our trees are evergreens and the little plants are just very cold tolerant, since they die out in the summer. I do have an apple tree and a few other plants that stay green in the summer (mostly roses which do very well here). Because of this I'm thinking about flipping the seasons (making summer my fallow season) in my personal practice but haven't decided yet.

I'm also seeing the usual discourse regarding Christianity and pagan holidays... Which, frankly, I just do not care. I'd prefer to ignore Christianity all together but sadly since they take way too much pleasure shoving their religion. And then you got the Christian "witches" who are like "but we aren't like that"... Yeah, don't care, fuck off! AND the people who take way too much pleasure in rubbing their views in everyone's faces... TLDR there is a reason I pretty much ignore pagan communities anymore.

Ah well enough of that BS.. the temperature is cool and rainy which I'm enjoying. The rainyness is similar to my true home (even as it's really cool for my people) so I'm also a bit homesick. Any way, if you celebrate, Ostaria blessings and for everyone may your spring be joyful.

One Piece Season 2

Yeah the rest of the season was easily as good as the first two episodes. Also I now have the world's biggest soft spot for Sanji (and even ship him with Nami which I never thought I'd say!). I also prefer the Live Action verson of Usopp and Nami (which I adore anime!Nami so that is saying something). The actor who plays Usopp is adorable and I'm loving the *are you fucking kidding me* looks Nami keeps giving the rest of the crew! The rest of the characters I like as much.

As far as the plot changes I really really like them! Ok the reveal that Roger has a kid is one I'm a bit iffy on but I'm gonna see what they do with it before I pass final judgement.

Oh and can we give some love to the lighting and sound teams. I never had a moment when I couldn't see anything, even in night/dark scenes. Also the sound was so much better balanced than any live action media I've seen in years. Like not once did I have to fiddle with the volume because something was too loud or quiet!

Kpop Demon Hunters

2 Oscars! best animated film and best original song (for Golden) Woot!! I'm seriously so fucking proud to see an original movie in a genera I love do so well (and actually it seems original films in general did well which yay!!)

Tumblr Shitting The Bed... Again

Staff Post And here I was toying with joining tumblr (stupid login wall is stupid!) but no I'm good thank you. But seriously I don't think they've shit the bed this hard since the Porn Ban. Which is impressive!

One Piece LA 2-1 and 2-2

I watched the first two episodes and holy hell look S1 was delightful but so far S2 is so much more delightful... Like they managed to combine an entire arc into one episode (Episode 1/Lougetown) and killed it. Also I really shouldn't have been surprised by all the things they brought in from later seasons in these two episodes but damn y'all. Just so fucking good. I'll def come back once I finished the rest and give a more through review but yeah Season 1 had a high bar and so far Season 2 cleared it with room to spare.

Weighted Blanket

My partner got me a weighted blanket and y'all when I say I never want to be without one again... it's so good. Just all that nice deep pressure on my body, especially my legs. All the goodness of a good strong hug without anyone else's energy getting in my space. It just came in today and I'm looking forward to trying to sleep with it. My kiddo (a very young spirit we've adopted) is less certain. It's missing 'the warms' (my energy according to him) after all but I'm sure it'll get his warms soon.

(my sleep has been shit lately due to anxiety so fingers fucking crossed)

AO3 BS

AO3 is apparently crashing out again... Le sigh, do NOT get me wrong I do adore that site (for reading... I've yet to use it as a writer) but damn this just keeps happening. Opph. Sadly it's really the only game in town, FFN is... worse (for so many reasons), Whattpad is way too social media and the search is god awful (also I do not like their house style) and ok there's Squidge but dear god the colors on that site are the worst. And ok yeah there's still a bunch of smaller archives (some better than others) but looking for them anymore is an actual pain in the ass.

...I am terrified of AO3 going down permanently. There's just so much fannish history on there it's truly terrifying and I really wish fandom would branch out more... while understanding why they (especially the slash ficcers and smut writers) really don't have much of a choice right now.

Manga

Been catching up on my manga (I like to wait to get a good number of chapters before reading). Overall not bad!

Arte: we finally finished the Leo flashback arc (which I wish had been scattered throughout the manga cause while I very much wanted to know his past I'm also waiting very impatiently for their reunion). Also you know... I think our boy has feelings for Arte. Which I'm cool with considering her feelings for him. Also I'm now getting the feeling that while he is older than Arte I don't think it's as old as I first thought. I was thinking around 10 years but now I'm thinking it's closer to five years. Which Idc about age difference but still interesting. Look Arte is my sweet precious baby girl who could do no wrong ever and if my sweet precious baby girl who could do not wrong ever wants an older stoic slightly grumpy man then she should get him. And anyway I'm not a fan of on sided love stories. LAMO

The Second Life of Chloe: This is one of those reincarnated from her shitty life and tries to build a good life in the same world type manga and it's ok. I don't care for the school parts but I do like seeing Cloe and her friends/family interacting and watching Cloe work to build a good life for herself so overall not a bad read. I do wish everyone she doesn't want around would leave her alone so she can just live the quiet life she wants but I guess that would be boring or something, oh well.

Life in Another World as a Housekeeping Mage: This just might be my favorite isekai. The MC, her love interest, and the rest of her friends are all so cute and sweet! The relationship between the MC and her LI is so pure (with just a bit of heat) and the story is a lovely slice of life. There is some painful bits (our MC didn't have an easy time of things when she first got here and the first few chapters deal with the fallout of that) but once that was over the rest of the story was surprisingly soft. Also I can tell the mangaka wasn't trying to be historically accurate to our world so I can relax and enjoy it. I also like how while her being here has made changes to the world: they aren't massive ones. Feels more grounded, which is a nice break. I only read Volume 8; which had an ok mystery but I do wish they'd have kept the whodunnit a bit more of a surprise. I'll read Vol 9 at some other time.

Other notes: I should really remember to never read the comments on the manga sites I use. Fandom has always had it's fair share of idiots but I truly feel that it just keeps getting worse. >:( Oh well there is a reason why I don't really fangirl on large social media sites.

Energy Sensitivity

I noticed the energy in my house was really fucking with us so I gave it a deep clean and added to my wards. Feeling much better now, I'm planning on doing that more often... Probably every other Sunday (my partner gets to help). I've preformed enregy cleanings before ofc but this was the first time I made up my own. I'm not 100% satisfied with it but when I am it'll go in my BOS section.

To be honest, I've just gotten way too sensitive to other people's energy, and this includes people online and that wasn't always the case. Gonna have to do some more work on my shields or something cause I do like people watching even if actually posting anywhere but here and dreamwidth is a "no thank you" anymore (and even with DW I've pretty much decided to keep to my own blog (possibly use as a backup) or even delete it.)

Nekoweb :(

I was checking out nekoweb but it's not gonna work for me.

1 I could not make heads or tails of that site and I'm pretty good at figuring out new sites (goodness knows neocities was stupid easy once I was ready to host my site on here) and there wasn't anywhere I could go that had that info.

2 Apparently Nekoweb doesn't allow VPNs. To be fair I currently do not use a VPN but *gestures at my last post* yeah...

So fuck if I know what I'll do if neocities goes down (probably shell out the money for my own hosting and domain... I'm toying with that anyway) but nekoweb will not be on my radar. Unfortunate but what can you do.

With every fucking single governing body wanting to "protect the children" by making laws forcing people to deanonimize just to be on social media (and even online in general) and every single site having to make some hard (and, in many cases, stupid) choices to abide by these laws; I'm kinda at the point were I'm like screw it, I should probably have a space for everything that I have as much control over as possible tired.gif. I am going to try to keep this space as positive as possible but we'll see. If I ever figure out how to code tags I'll make sure to have a rant tag you can use that's for sure.

Also I just wanted to try blogging in a space where a comment section just doesn't exist. Thought it'd be fun... We'll see. I'm not putting any pressure on myself to blog but if I don't use it at all for a year or so I'll reevaluate.
